I think that most artists go through some sort of pod-making phase and this is mine. Pods represent potential, the butterfly’s chrysalis is associated with luck (good & bad), with transformation, pods are inside and outside, mystery, strangeness, hidden treasure and all that is not yet known. I really enjoyed exploring the freedom of these sculptural forms and ultimately introduced it to many children via workshops.
