I worked on a project designed by LeafArts Manchester to explore the different nature and rituals of greeting and welcome across different cultures in Oldham.

The project encouraged children from the different schools to design and devise images for the Sails; they then paired up and together will add their images to the sail banners.

The sail banners will all come together at a number of events throughout the Festival of Diversity Summer program of events in July 2008 to provide a colourful display of work by young people from the Borough of Oldham demonstrating how they and their schools support and celebrate diversity.
